Sue the Sow Has Given Birth

…so this means piglets for us.
We have been looking for a couple of month for Tamworth Piglets. Tamworth is a heritage breed of pig. No one around here had them. The only ones we could find were over two hours away. That was to far for us to travel with piglets in our van.
About a month ago, we called the Remick Museum in Tamworth, NH. Someone told us they had piglets for sale. We were added to the waiting list for Sue the Sow.  We were close to the bottom of the list, and it didn’t seem like we would be getting piglets this year. 
We just got the call from Remick Museum that Sue has given birth to 8 piglets, and everyone on the waiting list have gotten their pigs. So our name was next on the list. 
We are so excited. We will get the pigs the week of June 3. We can go visit them before they are ready to come home.
