Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss
Today is the 105th birthday of favorite children’s author Dr. Seuss.
My favorite Dr. Seuss book is Green Eggs and Ham. The Cat In The Hat is close behind.
I read Green Eggs and Ham?to my sons over and over as they were growing up. As well, we had it on video tape as a cartoon. They not only loved it, I did too.
On Saturday, we are celebrating Dr. Seuss Birthday with a big birthday bash at the Effingham Public library. The children are encouraged to come as their favorite Dr. Seuss character. We of course will be dressed up as well.
After the candles have been blown out and the cupcakes are eaten, we will do an interactive reading of Green Eggs and Ham. The kids are going to love it. They will get to meet Penelope the Wonder Chicken, who actually lays green eggs. They will get to decorate the green eggs, and take them home.
Oh, I can’t wait for that day, when I can read and eat and play!
