Do Not Call Means Just That

We are registered on the National Do Not Call list, so I was surprised when we got a call this morning with a pre-recorded Ron Paul message. I was livid. There is a reason for the Do Not Call List, but obvioulsy, Ron Paul doesn’t respect that. I hate telemarketing, and I personally think it should be outlawed. There is no reason why anyone should be calling you, just to try and sell you something.

The call that gets me is the one where they tell me my car warranty is about to expire. HA. They don’t realize that my whole car is about to expire. I had to laugh when my 96 year old neighbor told me she got the same call. Not only does she not have a car, she has never driven in all her life. She and I had a good laugh over that one.

There must be total idiots out there if there is actually people falling for these calls.

Take the one where Dish Network calls and says “that as a customer you are entitled to…blah blah blah. Well shouldn’t they know that we are not a customer, and that they look like an ass for even suggesting we are. The man on the phone was totally dumb struck. Let’s hire the idiots of the world to make our company look assinine. That must be the way these companies think.

By the way, did I say telemarketing should be outlawed. It would save us from the idiots out there.
