An Evening With The Moody Blues
It took me 30 years, but it was well worth the wait. Last night, Michael and I, Bob and Lauren, Derek and Tiera went to The Meadowbrook Pavillion in Gilford, NH to see The Moody Blues. It was a dream come true for me at last. My life is now complete.
The Moody Blues first full studio album, Days Of Future Passed, was released on 11 November 1967 and stayed on the Billboard Charts for over two years. I guess I remember them because of my brother Joe. Although I was very young, I grew up listening to them. He loved them, and passed his love for them down to me. I was in heaven the day he gave me his Days of Future Passed album. I still have it to this day. I couldn’t help thinking about him last night while I was there. I thought about how if I had gotten to see them with him, when I was 16, how different they would have looked. I’m sure the audience would have looked much different too. The ages last night must have ranged in age from 15 to 65. It was awesome. It will certainly be a night that I will remember for a long, long time.
