All Hype and No Glory

With all the hype of the Groundhog Day Blizzard in the paper, we thought we were going to get over 2 feet of snow. We checked late last night, and we only had about 11 inches. Yet, we thought, it hadn’t quite stopped snowing, and you never know what morning will bring. We had a contest going on facebook, so we had to go out and measure first thing this morning. The winner will want to receive their free Lemon Balm Lip Relief.
So, with yard stick in hand, Michael went out to measure the snowfall. He stuck in the yardstick, and much to his suprize, we only got 11 inches. He tried a few places in the barn yard to make sure it wasn’t a low point. They all came out within a fraction of an inch to each other. All that hype for nothing. We get more than that in a good old fashion snow storm.
One good thing, we didn’t get the rain, sleet and slush that our friends to the south in MA got. I’ll take any amount of snow over that.
