Policies NEED to Change
I knew there would be some back lash about my letter to the editor of the Conway Daily Sun about The Conway Area Humane Society, and I am glad. It will hopefully open people’s eyes and bring a about a big change in the operation of many shelters.
A phone call came in today. Seems that the Conway Area Humane Society isn’t please with me writing that letter.
She asked if we were trying to ruin the reputation of the shelter. She was told they are doing a good enough job of that on their own.
The director, Virgina Moore is the one who called. She stated that what I had said in the letter is not their policies, or has it ever been. I guess then, the Conway Area Humane Society’s employees just makes up the rules as they see fit, because that is what we were told; “You can not return the dog, and get your money back, and it will count as a surrender and go against you”.Â
It is my intention to bring this to people’s attention to make sure the policies are changed, and that someone else doens’t have to go through the pain and suffering (both financial and emotional), that we have had to go through.
