Celebrate Effingham
Yesterday was Celebrate Effingham, the Summer Fair. It was a long day. We were up around 5 a.m. Got the dogs out, and the chickens out and fed, and began packing the car. We are not only on the Celebrate Effingham Committee, we were also vendors. We were there by around 8 a.m., and set up our booths. We had two booths. One for the herbal products and produce, and one for our photography.
We were set up in just a short time, as we had put up the tents the night before. We packed most things in the displays they were going to be in to make the job easier. The people started coming, and it was nice to see some neighbors we don’t get to see all the time. It was also nice to talk to people and let them know about us. Even though we have been open for two years, there are some people who don’t know we are here. Being there gave us a chance to advertise to a wider audience.
It was a beautiful day, and also a busy day. After we closed our booth at 5, we went around helping gather trash, and taking down the big tent. We packed up the car, and headed home. We were so tired, we ate supper around 7:30, checked on the gardens and chickens and hit the sack.
